Executive Members Present: Dianne Boulay, Rod Marcyniuk, Rod Clifton, Brian Russell, Francie Palmer, Marilyn Armstrong

Regrets: Leah Barnlund, Roy Smith, Frixos Paraskevas, Kathleen Reid

Meeting called to order at 7:45 pm.

Francie reported that Norm had not heard anything further from Walt McKee.

Rod Clifton reported that the facility fees are going up 4%. Francie is afraid that for us that will mean we will have to pay $42.50 plus the 4%. It was discussed that we may take this to the University of Manitoba Ombusman. If we are paying for a lifeguard we will demand a lifeguard solely for us.

Francie will speak to Norm about finding out anything further from Walt. We would like to take further action but the increase is in effect.

Brian received a letter back re officials. Brian read the reply. Brian will give Dianne a copy of the letter for the minutes. The letter appears to state that we would call the MSOA and they would get the officials as well as the stroke & turn people for the Pop Sidwell meet. Brian proposes that we have Phillip come and speak to the club. Suggestions for a breakfast meeting are March 2nd or the 16th. Marilyn will book a room or make arrangements for St. Johns.

Treasurerís Report:

Rod reported that we have 3 new members in the last month (Colleen, Bonnie and Kim). Current membership is 43 active members. Eight members who joined at the beginning have not renewed. Five were students, and then there were Karen and Charlene (expected to come back) and Bob.

Rod said the bottom line is that we are okay as far as members. Income statement looks like we will come in on budget (a deficit of $500.00 to $700.00). So far we will get credits of $160.00 for pool closures.

Dianne made a motion that if the pool closed for any unforeseen (unplanned) reason that Paul would be paid. Seconded by Brian. Motion past.

Rod M. will email Dianne a message from Colleen so she can have Colleenís email address.

It was decided that Dianne would be the one to email any messages to the swimmers.

Marilyn moved the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Rod C. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
