Holiday
Pool Closure:
As
per usual, the pool is closing for the Christmas + New
Years period. Out last swim for 2011 will be Tuesday,
December 20, 2011. In the New Year, our first
swim will be Thursday, January 5,
2012.

- 36th Annual - Pop Sidwell Swim Meet:
The
Pop Sidwell was held Nov. 19, 2011 at the Joyce Fromson
Pool. It is an accomplishment that this event has occured
annually for 36 years and it wouldn't happen without all of
you volunteer organizers, officials, timers, and runners.
Thank-you all. Mid-Can was represented in the pool by
Aileen Clark, Lead Barnlund, Carolyn Smith, Wenda Dickens,
Rhonda Leger, Shannon Adam, Gabor Csepregi, Penny Kelly,
Bob Groff, Gareth Simons, Tom Lynch and Bob Modrcin.
Congratulations to the following who set records in the
meet: Penny Kelly (400 Free), Gabor Csepregi (100 back) and
the Mid-Can Male 200 Free Relay Bob Groff Gareth Simons Tom
Lynch Gabor Csepregi. You can watch a slideshow of the meet

Annual Mickey Stokotelny Award
Bob

Stokotelny Award by Mickey's niece Linda Thompson. The
award is presented to the most successful competitor over
age 65. You can see the details here.
I think Mickey would be happy that the award went to Bob.

Mid-Can
Membership 2011-2012:
The
club currently has 38 registered swimmers. At this time
last year we had 39 members, the year before we had 45
members. A current membership list and membership report is
attached. Please check the list for errors. Let me
know of any corrections required. We need some new members.
Please invite friends, family, and co-workers to try out
the club.

Cay Kerr Pentathlon Swim Meet:
