The SWARM:

Main Content Inline SmallThe SWARM (South Winnipeg Association of Riding Maniacs) invites you to join our Sunday Bike Rides. We meet every Sunday and ride for about 2 hours. We have riden the last 3 Sundays. Currently we are riding in the afternoons, but as it warms up we will ride earlier. Today Jack Spence, Rod Clifton, Bob Groff, Bob Cronin and myself cycled from the Frank Kennedy Building out to the junction of Red River Drive and Hwy 75. Other frequent cyclists in the group are Wenda Dickens, Natalie Gerbrandt, Merv Cavers, and Carrie Smith. This afternoon was a perfect day and I really felt in the zone - it was in fact a very Zen like experience, so much so that I felt like my bike and I became one with road. As the picture shows it was a little too realistic! Our next ride is planned for Friday April 2, 2010. A few years ago, on a cold, wet, windy Good Friday morning, we had another Zen-like experience. Our core temperatures almost became one with the environment.
If, after all that, you still want to ride with us, let me know, or check out our blog. Cycling times and locations are posted on the blog.
